Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

At HeadshotUp, we strive to provide the highest quality AI-generated professional headshots. Because our products are digital goods created using substantial computational resources (GPU time) which cost us money for every single generation, our refund policy differs from physical goods.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By purchasing credits or a subscription, you acknowledge that you understand the nature of AI generation and agree to these terms.

2. Digital Goods & Non-Refundable Items

Why aren't all purchases refundable?

When you click "Generate," we immediately pay our cloud providers to spin up powerful H100/A100 GPUs to train your custom model and render your images. These costs are non-recoverable.

Generally, we do not offer refunds for:

  • Used Credits: If you have already used your credits to train a model or generate images, those credits are considered "consumed" and cannot be refunded.
  • Dissatisfaction with AI Likeness: AI is an emerging technology. While our models are state-of-the-art, results rely heavily on the quality of input photos. We cannot guarantee 100% perfect likeness if the uploaded photos were low quality, blurry, or didn't follow our guidelines.
  • Change of Mind: We do not refund purchases simply because you decided you no longer want the product after purchasing.

3. Eligible Refund Circumstances

We treat every customer fairly. We WILL issue a full or partial refund in the following situations:

  • Technical Failure: If our system crashed, failed to generate images, or produced corrupted files due to a server error on our end.
  • Double Charge: If you were accidentally charged twice for the same transaction.
  • Unused Credits (within 7 days): If you purchased a credit pack or subscription and have not used any of the credits, you may request a refund within 7 days of the purchase date.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact our support team with your order confirmation email or transaction ID.

We aim to review and process all refund requests within 24-48 hours. If approved, the refund will be automatically applied to your original method of payment within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank's processing times.

5. Subscription Cancellations

If you are on a recurring subscription plan, you may cancel at any time via your Dashboard settings.

  • Cancellation Effect: Canceling your subscription stops verified future billing. You will retain access to your credits until the end of the current billing cycle.
  • No Prorated Refunds: We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months if you cancel mid-cycle, but you keep your service access for the full funded period.
